This tour is for those that can only spend half a day on a bike, as the Wolski forest is minutes from the old town and is equipped with numerous trails for every level of mountain biker. On this tour the historical attractions are the mounds of Tadeusz Kościusko and Joseph Piłsudski, two of Polands independence fighters. The mounds were built by citizens in homage to these famous war heroes. Our guide will choose your descent based on your riding level. These mounds are nestled in the Wolski natural reserve. A 417 hectare forest full of trails ranging from intermediate, to Poland's first official advanced single track.
We meet at our office and getted suited with the proper mountain bikes. From there we head to the Blony meadows and along the Wilga river to the Norbetan convent before we climb up to the Tadeusz Kosciuszko mound. From there we make our first trail descent before climbing up to the zoo. After a refreshement break with a view of the Zoo elephants we head up the Jozef Pilsudski mound where we enjoy a panoramic view of Krakow and its surrounding areas. From the mound we make some trail descents towards the Camaldelease monastery where we can fill up our water bottles with holy water. From the monastery its all trail riding back to our office.
